Most Memorable Moments By Stephanie
the first pages of the book in my section, I had to read
the most unforgettable and memorable moment that I could not forget. Something
that standed out the most was when Walter Collins meets the woman in white. In
this part of the novel, it was close to the first few pages of the book. Walter
Hartright is ready to leave for Limmeridge, Cumberland. He has got a new
position as drawing-master in Limmeridge House a position which he got as a
favour for saving his friend professor Pesca’s life, which was dramatic since
he was about drown and loose his very own life, so as a way to repay him he got
Walter a job as a favour. Which later he starts teaching two young ladies and
fixing some damaged and old water-colour-paintings. At the night before he’s
ready to leave for Cumberland and coming back from his mother’s, on the way
back to London, he meets a young woman all dressed up in white. She seems very confused
and stressed out. Mr. Hartright finds out that she’s from Hampshire, but she
had once been to Limmeridge. Mr. Hart right quickly helps her to find a cab.
Only a few minutes after seeing her off, he overhears some men talking about
young women in white who had escaped from the Asylum. Than after he
realizes this was the lady they were talking about, the lady he met; the woman
in white.
